Omicron Delta Kappa is a national leadership honor society that recognizes and develops student leadership across academic, service, and professional domains. As part of my leadership role, I supported monthly meetings, general body meetings, and ongoing organizational activities that foster leadership development and engagement among members. In March 2025, I was involved in organizing and supporting the ODK Initiation Ceremony, which welcomed new members into the society and celebrated leadership excellence within the Virginia Tech community.
3. Rotaract Club of the University of Peradeniya
Faculty Coordinator (2019 – 2020)
I served as Faculty Coordinator for the Rotaract Club of the University of Peradeniya, supporting student leadership and community service initiatives. During this period, I worked closely with club members to plan, organize and implement projects focused on social responsibility and community engagement, including:

Project Sathkara (2019): A community service initiative involving a day spent with homeless elders at an elders’ home, focusing on care, companionship, and support.

Project Prathibhana: An educational outreach program providing academic support to Sri Lankan students preparing for Ordinary Level (O/L) examinations.

Project Captures: A photographic competition and exhibition aimed at encouraging creative expression and social awareness through visual storytelling.

Project Reach for Water: A charity run organized to donate two water filters to a community in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, where residents are affected by arsenic-contaminated drinking water, supporting access to safe and clean water.
